EXPERIENCE TESTED –

Sharing ideas… This is a place to expand on ideas, opinions, current events and newly published research.

Each of the people I have asked to share, have had plenty of adventures and are just itching to share what they have experienced and learned, laughed and cried about. The cute and the gross!

Since I have not been known for lacking in opinion… I get my own section.

HARRISON THE YOGA GOAT!

Joining me in this picture from my time as an intern in college, is Harrison the Goat. He is one of many friends I have made during my many animal adventures. We are still good buddies and when I go to assist on the farm from time to time, he is one of the first to come greet me looking for a scrub behind the horns. I don’t know if you can tell…he is a bit of a ham.

DEPOT INFO! –

Harrison is a wether. Male Goats and Sheep that have been castrated are known as wethers. There are a variety of reasons why this procedure might be done in these animals. Ability to remain in a herd without breeding, odor control often related to breeding behavior, temperament, and for some consumers a difference in the taste of the meat. For some cultures, this is the exact reason not to castrate a male animal.
